  • The year of his birth remains is unknown, but he has stated that he was 19 years old when The Gate to Valhalla was published.[3] Which means he is most likely around Expression error: Unrecognized punctuation character "{". years old now.
  • He is good friends with Tarō Nogizaka (Team Medical Dragon).
  • The composer Tenmon was his senior in high school.
  • He produces and directs 3D animations of his works.
  • Shu Matsuda is known as his best disciple (一番弟子). Matsueda even produced an animated CM to promote his disciple's debut work.[4] Their art styles are almost the same.[5]
  • He voiced the robot in Waza no Tabibito.
  • His publisher Romanizes his given name as Syun, while Matsueda himself tends to use Shun most of the time.
